Aaron L. Hammer featured in lead restaurant industry trade publication on Quiznos and Sbarro bankruptcies
03/31/2014On March 31, 2014, QSR Magazine, a lead restaurant industry trade publication, published an article entitled, "Quiznos & Sbarro: What Went Wrong?"
Therein, the author looks to the opinion of Aaron L. Hammer, leader of Sugar Felsenthal Grais & Hammer's national Bankruptcy, Reorganization and Creditor's Rights practice group. In contemplation of the rash of restaurant related bankruptcy filings, Hammer notes "[t]hese types of companies are over-leveraged. The initial borrowing was too high, plus there are cost pressures . . . The capital structure that was set years ago might not work today."
